The V.I.B.E.S. Behavior Modification Program is designed to teach positive behaviors and offer rewards and incentives to aid in enhancing those behaviors.
A series of measures will be implemented to target underlying causes of inappropriate behavior, implement strategies to help alleviate negative conduct, and redirect the actions of the student in a manner that is conducive to the social and academic success of all children. - Allowing students to assist in establishing guidelines for behaviors.
- Encouraging students that take the initiative in being leaders or models of appropriate behavior.
- Offering praise for consistently demonstrating appropriate behavior.
- Establishing non-verbal communication and ques, such as nuances of the voice, facial expressions, or body orientation.
- Providing tangible rewards, such as tickets to football or basketball games.
- Maintaining positive parental communication through the use of emails, phone calls, text messages, recruiting volunteers, etc.
