​Cool Kids Committee, Inc. offers intensive support for at-risk students, with V.I.B.E.S (Valuable Individuals Becoming Extraordinary Students).
​V.I.B.E.S., an initiative of CKC, Inc., encompasses Behavior Intervention and Physical Fitness programs.

​​The V.I.B.E.S Bully Prevention Program is designed to deter bullying in school by creating an action plan to assist the bully in ceasing bullying tactics.
  1. Teach Respect – Using varied methods, including modeling desired behaviors, students will engage in watching webinars and participating in activities that demonstrate the need to embrace, not ridicule differences (ie. Race, religion, appearance, special needs, gender, economic status.) Students will understand that all Have rights and feelings. 
  2. Interact with Others and Receive Praise for Appropriate Behaviors- Provide opportunities where cooperating students learn and play.
  3. Set Goals and Monitor Improvement - Assist in establishing vision boards
  4. Social Skills Practice – May include field trips to demonstrate appropriate social interactions (ie. Restaurants, sporting events, entertainment, educational forums) 
  5. Expose to New Ideas and Plan for the Future- Discuss college and career goals.  Take tours of various schools and corporations.

Positive Reinforcement: Cool Kids' Committee, Inc. serves as advocates for our students; encouraging them to stay focused on what's important such as their education, personal well-being, and overall success in school, at home, and beyond. Every student we work with knows our executive director's personal phone line is open 24/7. 
Fitness and Health: Healthy, physically active kids are more likely to be academically motivated, alert and successful. The great benefits of being active for young people includes promoting healthy growth and development, helping achieve and maintain a healthy weight, improving cognitive skills and building self-esteem.  CKC ,Inc. provides a basketball program to encourage commitment, hard work, and physical activity! 
Mentoring: Cool Kids' Committee, Inc. provides small group talks, helping our children channel their inner thoughts by providing them with conversations to help them deal with school, home-life and personal feelings. We teach them to understand the importance of being independent, and show them how to give back to the community by volunteering and therefore displaying their leadership.
Building Community Bridges: Cool Kids' Committee, Inc. believes it doesn't matter your religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, nor profession. What matters is what's inside. Are you a good person? Cool Kids' Committee, Inc. is working with local police departments to bridge the gap between our local law enforcement officers and our local youth. We feel as a community it is important to come together to build relationships, and work together to improve issues surrounding us. No issue is solved with a lack of communication.

Creative Writing: Cool Kids' Committee, Inc. provides children with creative writing opportunities. Writing is an expression of one's most inner thoughts, and is useful as a tool for thinking, expression, and creativity. It's a form of self-expression used to open one's heart. Allowing the writer to escape their environment has also been known to improve mood, well-being and reduce stress.

Anti-Bullying / Pro-Kindness: We all come from different places, have different life experiences, belief systems, and other important aspects that make us who we are. Cool Kid's Committee, Inc. believes we are in a time like no other. Our differences are reminded to us almost every day, but what we hope to accomplish one day at a time, one child at a time, is teaching kindness and equality. Black people, White people, gay people, Muslim people, Christian people, Jewish people, young people, old people; the common word seen here is people. We are all people, and the future we want will be determined by how we decide to treat each other, and whether or not we decide to focus on what divides us or what brings us together. That is why at Cool Kid's Committee, Inc. we stress pro-kindness. Along with speaking to young people in schools, we also have our annual Put a Freeze on Bullying 5K Run/Walk.
